Edited 5 months agoYes the date is definitely wrong on this. I'm thinking back I probably would have gotten this the end of 83 or 84. Everything else matches though, Matrix numbers label text Etc. Also not sure what they mean by Thin cardboard, it's pretty much the same thickness as my 1969 copy of Four Sail, or any other '70s '80s white cardboard stock sleeve. "Thin sleeve" would be something like DG or RCA International Euro releases... anyway this sounds pretty darn good even to this day.

Edited one year agoThis version is dated as 1988. That's wrong! This was a transition label briefly used from late 1983 before fully transitioning to the black & red label sometime in 1984. There were two styles, one with a white background, and one with a black background. Here's an example (notice the date on the label):https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/%C4%92bn-%C5%8Czn-Feeling-Cavalier/master/158346

In the late '80s (around 1988) Elektra began using this label: https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/The-Doors-The-Doors/release/2259148
A major difference other than label design is the change in the rim text information from: "ELEKTRA/ASYLUM/NONESUCH RECORDS" to "ELEKTRA ENTERTAINMENT," as well as the addresses.
