My original copy from back in the day; however spine text does not end with Printed In US- mine reads PRINTED IN U.S.A. Also- my cover has a small notch in the top left corner. Sound is excellent- always an enjoyable listen.

Never gets old, one of the great, great albums that came out in 1972. Splurge on a nice copy, it will pay you back with every spin. Tom

Got this from my local store for $7, sounds good other than enough pops to sound like a campfire.

i got my copy from this old guy that has a run down shop with god knows how many records, around my house he’s known for severely highballing or lowballing. my copy has terrible split pretty much the entirety of the top and bottom of the jacket, but other than that, is absolutely perfect, let it be a little noise. i physically reacted when he said he’d give it to me for $6.

Somehow I bought this fantastic album back around 2010, opened it up and looked at the pretty art, but then didn't get around to listening to it until today. One of those situations where I said "I'll do it tomorrow" and tomorrow never came.

I can't believe this fragile jacket that seems like it was printed on a Wheat Thin is still holding up after 51 years. Was that the point? To have a material one could watch age and morph? This early press of Harvest sounds perfect. The previous press I had (later 70s?) did too. The highs are rolled off, everything has a soft-focus, stoned early 70s feel to it.

Harvest is a strange record for the huge huge mega-hit it was. For every mellow country rocker, you get a weird opposite. 'There's A World' and 'A Man Needs A Maid' could be from one of Jack Nitzsche's soundtracks. 'Alabama' continues the feud with Lynyrd Skynyrd. 'Words' lopes along in tricky multiple time signatures. As much classic rock radio abuse as it got, 'Needle And The Damage Done' is still a song about a heroin addict and the preamble to Tonight's The Night. Neil might've been in the middle of the road here, but you can see the ditch coming with these songs.

I do have a copy of the german version that I can't find. The label on the side 1 is just like the cover, and the songlist is entirely on the side 2. The # is the same as most of the releases (REP 44 131 - MS 2032). Does anyone can help me? Thanks.

I got an almost mint copy of this for $15. Literally dead silent throughout. I can't believe how beautiful this record sounds. Far beyond stellar all around!

Review of this early pressing. This is everything an audiophile record should be. Warm analog sound with punchy percussion and crisp highs. Neil's voice sounds like a horn and is well balanced. The overall volume of this pressing is hotter than most. Mastering and soundstaging have achieved an effect whereby it sounds like Neil is sitting in my living room playing casually. Impressive

Recommended. Now go buy '71 Massey Hall.
