There are certainly copies with the 1U/4U matrix and the ‘Product Of Liberty-United Artists’ label ring text, I have one in front of me here. EJ Day sleeve and log with (to my eyes) a greenish tinge. The rest of the label layout is similar to the copy here, but I assume it predates the 1977 pressing. As such it has been orphaned by the recent edit.

Edited 3 years agoThe sleeve shown in the pictures is the first original E J Day, but the record shown is a later press from the Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve which has the made by United Artists text around the label rim and the ed trade mark 'R' on the label after United Artists Records under the UA label text. Issued '77 onwards. This is likely a 'doctored' release whereby the original record has been replaced somewhere along the line, with this later reissue.

First UK issues labels have always "Liberty - United Artist" on the rim writing up to 1977 when it was changed to "United Artist" as was used to 1979 when the "EMI LTD" was used. In 1980 EMI cashed out all other owners and used "EMI" only. From 1981 the catalogue numbers changed from UAG or UAS to LBG and a grey label was used to 1987 when the "FAME" series was released.
