This pallet cleansing anti-baroque psych mind eraser is a thing of primitive beauty! One would certainly be right to argue that this is not even Hawkwind's greatest, however, on its own merits this LP has little competition to rival its simple brilliance.

My copy has a Hawkwind Space Ritual Log book with a rather nice drawing of Stacia dancing in front of Skull and Cross bones out in Space. It is similar to the Log Book that cam with X In Search of Space. Will this be included in the release notes?

Edited 7 years agoYears go, back in the seventies I had a version of this which had sides 1&4 on one disc and 2 &3 on the other (If I correctly)

With the Netherlands entry for this title you have correctly put the title as 'The space ritual...' but on none of the others including this entry. 'The space ritual...' is the CORRECT title and was still in use on UK reissues very late on. If you investigate the other entries where a label pic has been included you will see that ALL of them have 'The space ritual..' as the label title which was probably shortened for graphic design purposes on the cover. But will you correct it ? We very much doubt it !
-
Not for the first time a discrepancy between album title on sleeve and label 'Space ritual' and 'The space ritual' . Question is: which one is 'correct'?
