Such a brilliant sounding album, the repress is clear and dynamic. Goose bumps listening to this on a decent system. Brings back memories of 1991. Smoke, lasers, chill out rooms… you know the rest.

Does anyone know how many copies of this reissue were pressed? These are numbered, on the back of the sleeve there is a 4 digit number uniquely printed. I have 2 copies, one numbered 0373 and one numbered 0301. Anyone have any info?

Really pleased to have this on vinyl. Would have preferred to have heavier wax, they feel a bit flimsy and one of my discs was slightly warped but at least due to its flexibility I’ve managed to get rid of that. Sound wise it sounds good. I don’t have another pressing to compare it to but I’m happy with the sound quality here, cranked it up and it delivered with a nice clear punchy sound.

Edited 3 years agoFor anyone curious to know if the tracks are mixed together or not (given that this is on four sides of vinyl now rather than just two), the answer is: both. Basically, whatever songs are together on a side end up getting segued together like the other pressings. However, the songs at the end of the sides end up fading or just ending (as they did on their respective 12" releases) which is interesting. I was hoping the tracks would all be separated, but that is not the case, particularly with "Pulse State" which is arguably the best track on here. Those of you looking for that song's isolated intro will still need to look for the 12".
Quite honestly, this is a solid pressing. I've owned the original UK release for 30 years now, and that pressing never sounded good from day one -- it's just impossible to find a dynamic sound when you've got 30 minutes of music crammed onto one side of wax. With this press you never have more than 15 minutes on one side, and this results in the best pressing of this album I've ever heard. Now, of course, if you wanted to go to the trouble of tracking down all of the 12" singles that these tracks originally appeared on, that would be a solid option, too. But after hearing several pressings of this album over the years, including the original 1991 press, this is the best I've heard. -
The gatefold looks great and the records sound great. Really silent, punchy, and dynamic. Highly recommended!

Anyone ready to speak to the quality of this yet or is everyone too busy flipping it ten minutes after they buy it?
