The mastering indeed is really good .I kept in mofi style inner sleeves for this kind of LP gatefold . Syro is a good album for IDM and ambient fans or those who want to explore electronic music .i can rate it together with Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and Selected Ambient Works Volume II .

The best solution to the tricky 3 LP gatefold sleeve (others have given alternatives below) - and I can’t fathom why no one else has thought of this previous - Buy 3 copies of the album. Break the seal on all three and remove all 3 vinyls from aforementioned gatefold sleeves. You’ll now have 3 copies of sides A/B C/D E/F. Now here’s the clever bit - you simply throw away 2 copies of each side leaving you with 1 copy of A/B, 1 copy of C/D and 1 of E/F. You can now put one record in its own spacious and beautiful sleeve. You can make life even easier for yourself by putting a small sticker (either on the spine or front) informing which record of the 3 sides resides in which sleeve.
*important - make sure not to throw away 3 copies of any one side as this will leave you without the cover complete album to listen to.

3LP gatefolds offer a good excuse to pick up some outer sleeves for your records – take out the inner sleeves, slide the jacket into the outer sleeve, and pop the inners + records into the outer sleeve behind the jacket. Note that you will likely need oversized sleeves for this approach to ensure everything fits comfortably.

Better still, in addition to the outer sleeves, get some MoFi inner sleeves and take the records out of the paper inners, leave those in their usual spots inside the jacket, and put the records + MoFi inners behind the jacket all in the outer sleeve.

Makes dealing with albums like Syro, Geogaddi, and anything else with tricky packaging much more readily available for listening when the mood strikes.

Put the 3 vinyls into 1 section to save the trouble that some folk seem to have with this albums sleeve design. It works really well and no need to unfold it constantly, easy listening.

Vinyl Flat as a Pancake, great sound quality, no annoying crackeling noise. Very nice packaging, lovely pressing.

Absolutely lovely record. Even on my relatively midrange setup it sounds awesome, very detailed and warm. One of those records where I can say that vinyl sounds better than digital. The only annoyance is that it's 3 LP but I guess as much as it annoying it also benefits the sound quality.

The nice piano F2 track "Aisatsana" (anagram of Anastasia -> dedicated to the album photographer ?) must be played at 45RPM.
                Tracks A1, A2 (1st half), B1, B2 and D1 play also well at 45 RPM.

Incredible pressing. Warp is absolutely one of the best labels out there. I listen to this thing all the time. The second-best Aphex Twin record behind Drukgs, in my opinion.

my only complaint is a minor skip on A2, but i dont really care, its at the beginning of the song anyway. definitely a top releases from afx 🙏

                      Absolutely beautiful in every way.

I am a massive fan of the quality of Warp's pressings in general (optimal, usually?).

Yes, triple gatefolds are a bit fiddly, and it's delicate and white, but for releases like this, the stereolab triple vinyl reissues etc, I just splap the outer sleeve in a pooly outer and then fill a separate outer with the discs in mofi inners and the release inners sandwiched between. Way less touching and way less chance of warping, wear on sleeves etc.

Musically this is the most fusing on one album between the AFX acid phunk stuff, Analord, ambient pieces and cinematic moody score stuff.

The guy can mix even the most insane of his tunes to make such a familiar and intuative listen. I just love how affordable and available this level of quality can be.
