This is a superb sounding pressing. Cut when the tape was still fresh and on (surprisingly) quiet vinyl.

I'm not a fan of digital mastering when it comes to analog recordings. But in this particular mono vinyl, I find that the digital processing, if any, is less noticeable. AI explains this by saying, "the simplicity of a mono signal makes it less susceptible to the introduction of digital artifacts during mastering. This is because there is less information to process, fewer quantization points, and less complexity in coding". It seems my ears agree

This pressing sounds great. If you're looking for an affordable price ( first UK is quite unapproachable in nm condition) this is well mixed and balanced. Masterpiece.

This pressing is just amazing. A little more high end than my first press UK mono, but the separation is great and the bass is still there in spades. A great listen.

This is a flawless pressing. What an absolute joy of a record and a surprisingly wonderful sound.
The stereo is sensational in its own way, though, so I might have to track one of those down, too. More than happy with this nostalgic listen in the meantime.

Really solid sounding UK press on super quiet wine red vinyl. Lots of Kinks LPs were pressed on this vinyl in the late 60s and early 70s and it’s one of the quieter vinyl formulations I’ve heard.
