I only picked this one up to justify the shipping on other items to be honest. It never hurts to add some Eagles into your collection regardless of if you’re a fan or not. This one surprised me though. The vinyl was so quiet and sounded great! Better than some records I’ve paid a hell of a lot more for.

This mastering is a dud - they forgot to turn on the NR that was used to decode the original master tape. How could something like this be overlooked, considering all of the other Eagles' releases from Mofi are properly decoded... I was hoping this would've been the definitive mastering, but clearly not. Maybe Analogue Productions will do it properly some years from now.

If you do not believe me, do a side by side of virtually every other release from this album. They do not have this weird un-decoded tape compressive sound.

I would agree this SACD is the least appealing of the MOFI series. It’s a little sterile, and SQ varies track to track. ‘I Can’t Tell You Why’ sounds fantastic, whereas ‘Long Run’ is flat and boring. Maybe it has more to do with the original recording, than the actual remaster.

Good sound quality. An underrated album in my opinion. I love the addition of Joe Walsh to the band starting with Hotel California. He made it a different and better band with his guitar work and rock influence.

Given my disappointment over the sound of my Hotel California OneStep, I’ll stick with my $1 charity store CD of The long run.

The music is great but I wanted more from the production of this SACD. For starters it is only 2 channel stereo. It sounds relatively flat compared to my other SACDs or even some CDs

Legendary band. Great record. So used to hearing just their greatest hits vol 1-2 I totally did not get into Those Shoes till now. Such a great song! My pressing sounds fantastic! Highly recommended!

Like virtually all Japanese pressings this is no different in of its exceptional quality and presentation.
Beautifully mastered, flat silent vinyl delivers a sonic treat. Solid jacket and inner. Hard to imagine there is a better offering of this album available on vinyl.

Giving it five stars for the detail and perfect pressing.. now that being said it is toppy and in some systems/environments it will come out as harsh. Standout enhanced track imo: those shoes
