Ghost (32) – Impera

Lovely boxset. Despite what anyone else says. I will say though my Impera has two B. Side sticker (no A. Side but was pressed with an A. Side) so there's definitely some quality control issues

Awesome album, but this pressing has more crackles and pops than a bowl of rice bubbles.

Went through the discography in preparation for the new album. Noticed that the record is slightly warped. Anyone else have the same issue?

Really good sounding pressing and the Aqua Blue just looks great, fits nicely with the colour themes of the album artwork.

Cool package with the t-shirt and booklet, but the audio quality of this one leaves a lot to be desired. Pretty noisy. Par for the course for Loma Vista vinyls.

Easily the best sounding picture disc I have heard.
In fact it has zero surface noise. I have never seen that in a picture disc.
Sound quality is really good and the record is perfectly flat (as with most picture discs)

There are a couple negatives though. The LP has the same image on both sides. Why? they couldn't find a second image?
Because of this, it's basically impossible to easily find out what side is A and which is B.
You need to hold the record up to the light to look at the matrix in each run out groove. Only way to figure it out

Another weird thing is that my copy has the bar code shown above but has the Record Store Day sticker on it. A mixture of the two picture discs.

How does this pressing sound,? Similar to the original pressing?

Ghost have perfected what they do, and impera proves it. It’s hard to place them in a certain genre. To me, they’ve created their very own.
