Edited 3 months agoGreat album. Just bought a very nice uk 1st press that came with a 12” folded card stand up monolith. Anyone else have this? I’m presuming it was given away at point of purchase?

Edited one year agoI have all Zeppelin on both OG UK Plum/Swan and US Classic Records up until Presence. In many cases, I find the Classics to be the best versions out there. However in this case the original UK smokes the Classic. This UK has better instrument separation; it’s very precise with good bass. In comparison the Classic sounds boomy. Excellent listening experience.

Edited one year agoThis Is One Of Zeppelin's Very Best Albums, Here Is The Perfect Heavy & Rhythmic Rock N' Roll That Perfectly Captures The True Strengths Of The Band As Great Rock Musicians First And Foremost. Not A Lot Of The Songs Here Are Instantly Recognisable Classic Zeppelin Songs With The Exception Of Course Being One Of The Greatest Pieces Of Music In History With Achilles Last Stand. However For Your Life, Hots On For Nowhere, Royal Orleans & Nobody's Fault But Mine Are Some Of The Best, Joyful And Most Fun Zeppelin Songs They Ever Did And Tea For One Being Arguably The Best Slow Blues They Would Ever Do. The True Highlights Of Listening To This Album Is The Perfect Pairing Of Jimmy Page's Guitar Chops And John Bonham's Heavy Drumming Because That Is Where The Magic Happens. This First UK Press Is The Best I Have Ever Heard Presence And It Blows The 2015 Remaster / Rerelease Out Of The Water. Their Is So Much Clarity To The Sound That You Can Very Clearly Hear The Layers Of Sonics With The Guitar Overdubs On Some Tracks Being A Lot More Obvious To The Ear, Robert Plants Voice Also Feels Like It Has More Weight To It And The Drums Are Even More Life Like With A Good Deal Of Knock Added To Them And Those Cymbals Are Even More Crisp. The Bass Is Also Perfectly Balanced And Well Rounded, A Must Own LP For A Vinyl Collection.

Great album that’s really underrated. Achilles Last Stand is an epic! Great pressing here, everything sounds great. The separation and soundstage is really good, so much so that I’ve heard things I never did before when listening digitally. Excellent mix!

Its strange putting this on a pedestal considering their massive success prior to this album, but there is something about it I always come back to. Its probably the forlorn story behind its conception that is so enticing to me, the waning of the old gods so to speak. Im glad a lot more people are getting into this record.

I have your album Presence (UK, matrix SSK 59402 A1 and SSK 59402 B1, embossed). On this album there is a strange sticker. In this regard question. Whether were LZ concerts in (were planned) at this time.
