Edited one month agoThis is one of the most beautifully recorded and mastered albums that I have ever heard hands down. This version is just sublime. It is just so unbelievably stunning and balanced. I am speaking of the hexagonal label version specifically here.

What an album! The version to have is a 1st issue UK press with the blue Hexagon label. The sound quality is just phenomenal. The bass is just so intense. Of course the music is amazing. Those duelling guitars still blow me away after years of listening to it. The second side knicks it over the first

Just recieved a NM copy of this and this blows the other pressings I have out of the water. I own a 1st US, Canadian and Boxset pressing and they cannot touch this pressing. Beautiful deep bass and highs make this masterpiece even better.

What can be said about this band and this release. Even though they are now 2 bands in reality, please go and see either one of these LIVE before they are no more. They never made made it BIG but the last time I saw them the entrance fee was around £ 35.00 and for that I got over 2 hours of pure CLASS music. I went to see them many moons ago in Munchen Gladbach 1992, in Whitby U.K. 2017 and in HULL U.K. 2019 and they were superb.

I decided to play my copy yesterday. MCA-49 on the MCA rainbow label. The lp itself weighs 140 grams and I was really disappointed with the sound quality. Martin Turners bass was wimpy and the whole album was just lackluster. I know my WB 1 and Pilgrimage albums sound great so I went on a TT set up quest. I did notice my table was a little off level and I also took my speakers and set them up again and still it sounds like junk. I put on Elvis Costello’s King of America and the difference was night and day. EC’s record was killer sounding. Big bass and superior sounding in every way.
