Be careful - I ordered this from two different sellers and both turned out to be scammers. Thankfully Paypal refunded me.

Edited 3 months agoAgree with others, pressing on this album is absolutely fantastic! Wow! Cant get enough play time on this record. It's no wonder this is such a sought-after album for most! If you can find it, grab it no matter the cost. Once you drop the needle down on " Psycho Killer " you'll see what I mean.

The music is excellent and unique. The pressing is the best live recording I have heard. The instruments are present and palpable. It makes the music more infectious. The sound quality is better than most recordings that are called audiophile quality especially the recent pressings. If you like the music you will want this record.

I would pay a pretty penny to get the entire concert on a double (triple?) LP & I am sure I am not the only one. 40th anniversary coming up...just saying.

In 2021 the film "Stop Making Sense" was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

For a long time I was of the opinion that "live" albums were not really worth purchasing as the sound quality wasn't nearly as good as studio albums. Then I picked this one up on the cheap, 30+ years ago, and was blown away by how good it sounds. It completely opened my eyes, or ears rather, to what a live recording could potentially be when done right and this one most certainly is. If it hadn't been for this album I might have limited my music collection to studio recordings only and I would have missed out on some amazing stuff.

I debated on if I actually needed this in my collection, as I already own the blu-ray of the show and the studio albums these songs come from. I knew this from watching the show, but it has a wholly unique feel from their studio recordings. It's such a blast, with the funk turned to the max. This pressing sounds phenomenal on top of it.

How does this sound so good! I am an analog purest but this one and Dire Straits' "Brothers In Arms" make me question my orthodoxy. This was recorded when digital was in its infancy. And the 1s and 0s were then pressed on vinyl. Still somehow, it produced some serious magic.
