Pressing sounds clean and punchy on my system. Compared to digital the LP is definitely less compressed. Drums have a bit more pop on the LP. Discs did have have some factory debris but it easily came off with dry brush cleaner.

It has never been a wonderfully mastered album in the first place (and the type of music doesn't help with it) but this 2xLP pressing gives a little bit more room to the music (vs an OG).

Despite being pressed at GZ, it's an OK press (flat, centered, OK jacket and the usual light scratches but they have no incidence on the music).

Also, i'm happy to report my copy has almost no surface-noise!

I have some surface noise after a good clean so I can't give it a full 5...but outisde of that, my pressing is rich and deep and sounds great!

Has anyone gotten a 2010 re-issue where the side A center, circular sticker was torn? Is this a variant or creative detail?

I have two UK original release copies and another 89 Yugoslavian one. I cannot believe I am typing this, but I think this remastered release sounds better than the originals. I think its because the originals never sounded good to begin with. The originals have too much music cramped up into one LP. None of the three 89 LP's I own are without their fair share of crackling either. This remaster however is louder, especially with the bass, but it still ends up sounding better overall. You don't end up losing any details(none that I could tell) as you do with with at least 95% of remasters. Besides, you can always use tone controls to turn down the bass as I have.

Not the best pressing of anything. The pressing itself is alright but the mastering leaves to be desired. Undefined soundstage mainly focussed on vocals. Edgy guitars. Murky synths.

Roger O'Donnell says about the sound of Disintegration: "The first time I heard the finished record was actually on a cassette and I was hugely disappointed with the mastering, of course it didn’t help it was on a cassette but even now I think it sounds really flat and compressed and without any life in it. Entreat, the live version recorded at Wembley in the Summer of 1989 always sounded way way better"

Love the album, but this version sounds a bit dull on my system.

In general, this is a good press. It sounds legible and calm. There are a couple of cyclical claps on the song Closedown. And outwardly everything is perfect.

Slightly wavy vinyl. Now and then a little louder groove noise.
                      Nevertheless recommended.
