Edited 11 months agoI have this SLM pressing and it sounds outstanding.
In the auditorium. Sounds fantastic! Great movie too -
Edited 2 years agoIf you loved the movie Amadeus, you will want to have this soundtrack. Otherwise, if you are a classical music fan but not a full-fledged Mozartophile, this is a nice broad sampler of some of his works. And, if you are NEITHER, but in your 20s and some of these pieces sound vaguely familiar, it is quite possible your parents used to put you in your crib with a 'Baby Mozart' video on repeat.
Sir Neville Mariner and The Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields have hit a home run here, with several brilliant performances, stunningly executed and recorded.
Now run out and find Vol 2 with excerpts from The Magic Flute.
Good pressing. Recommended.
