This album was originally EQ'd to have a midrange-heavy sound. The more recent CD remasters sound Hi-Fi in comparison. The best, truest way to hear this album is the 2018 remasters Disney released produced by Leslie Ann Jones and Shawn Murphy.

I'm having a difficult time determining which copy on vinyl I own. None of my runout markings match those listed. Here's what I have:
Side One: A8 (opposite side) TI M-2-541-AS-6 (etched) TML-S (stamped)
Side Two: F12 (opposite side) TI M-2541-BS-2 (etched) TML-M (stamped)
Side Three: E17 (opposite side) XSXT (extremely faint) 1S M-2-541-CS-1B (etched) TML-M (stamped) FA (scratched out)
Side Four: 17S (opposite side, extremely faint) TI M-2-541-DS-3 (etched) TML-S (stamped)
Any help would be appreciated. -
My copy has a side one label where the side four label should be. Anyone else have a copy like that?

Hey-it's STAR WARS, so if you're even reading this I don't even need to talk about the (excellent) music. The quality of this pressing is phenomenal! Great dynamic range. I hadn't listened to it in many years, and I had occasion to play it loud and all the way through today. Holy s**t; it was like I was in the movie theater and 8 years old again. Wow.

Sat back and listened to this on the 4th and man oh man.
I recommend for some nice nostalgia nights. Quality. -
A Masterpiece! One of the few records I can listening to this in 1977 as a 4 year old and now all these years later it still sounds fantastic! It’s pretty cool to just sit back and listen to just the music without the movie narrative and effects. Highly recommended!

John Williams makes proud the great operatic composers of the past. It's so clear when you think about the orchestral film music that people are familiar with... Star Wars, Jaws, ET, Harry Potter: all John Williams. The booklet of all the stories behind every track shows how much effort and thought is put into composition like this
-
2lp album set still has the insert of Themes..the orchestra..main title everything from side1 track1-side4 track2 on 1side and on the otherside there's the introduction as to how the story came about who played what in the orchestra..also tidbits of info on where it was recorded w/date and remixed:) extremely informative...anyway someone needs this!!!!
