I've not heard an original pressing, US or otherwise, but I will say, Wow, about this 1976 Japan pressing. Bonzo's drums place you in the room. So beautiful. -
This is the way this album is meant to be heard. Amazing soundstage and bottom end. Plus, no abhorrent extra flanger effect Kevin Shirley threw in the RE plus Page’s inexplicable matching up of the movie tracks with the album which was so jarring when I got the RE years ago I couldn’t stand it. Not the TSRTS I wore out as a kid. This, however, is how it should be!
