Ok, my copy was very noisy upon purchase, very disappointed. Cleaned it repeatedly with an ultrasonic cleaner, rinsed, still noisy. Played it today after storing it for a bit and did an on-deck brush clean, sounds amazing. Dead quiet, no longer disappointed. Definitive pressing imo -
Mine was noisy but a Spin Clean took it from a C+ to an A-. Looks and sounds beautiful though I can't see myself revisiting side D too much 😂 -
Great packaging and artwork. Unfortunately even after a cleaning it’s still noisy. Sounds great otherwise -

Edited 5 years agoAs echoed below, it’s a really bad pressing - noisy as hell - I’ve used an ultrasonic record cleaner, in addition to Record Revirginizer. Such a shame, as it is a great remaster, and the packaging is superb. Mondo need to get their shit together when it comes to sourcing quality vinyl. -
This should be good, pressed at Pallas and cut at Abbey Road. Dont know why people are complaining, winter static causing noise maybe? Get an RCM and clean your records folks, reading about people getting unlucky with a potentially dirty or noisy copy is uninteresting, what matters is how the mastering sounds. -
Really disappointed in the pressing quality. I was hoping, given the gravity (no pun intended) of the anniversary of this soundtrack INPARTICULAR, more care would be taken. This was the only avenue for buying the re-release. I have to equate Mondo with Plain Records: cash grab, low effort, low energy. In the words of the current occupant in the White House, sad! Mondo won't read these comments, this is more of a warning for potential buyers.
That aside, a FANTASTIC issue. -
Just as the previous notes, a noisy pressing. As is standard with Mondo's pressings. For the you'd think they'd work with better plants?
