The concert is an absolute knockout. Every minute is gorgeous, I loved it.
The pressing is clear, bright and like it was performed in the same room.
Near perfection. -
Edited 2 years agoI found this '78 pressing of this brilliant performance in near mint condition, for $5. It sounds wonderful. No complaints at all.
This is a highly developed stream of consciousness, spewing from a creative genius, interrupted only by three intermissions. If you are new to jazz, I would not start here. Or if you do pick this up, listen sparingly as you develop your critical ear. It will start to make sense.
For experienced jazz listeners, mix up your favorite drink, dab on your favorite Köln(see what I did there?), sit back, and expand your artistic brain.
