Amazing pressing of this album. My CD from the same era pales by comparison. Crisp, full sound with great dynamic range and accuracy.

Just bought a used copy of this and got it for a super low price because it was severely warped (record pi fixed that), but holy shit this sounds great. Deep bass, dynamics are very nice. Was gonna get the modern reissue but I can't see it sounding better than this.

I have the SPAR on the deadwax on my vinyl and it also states DMM Masterdisk. But mine is black, not translucent. Anybody here got the black vinyl like me?

Edited 3 years agoOnly a handful of bands lit up the '80s the way U2 did; this masterpiece represents the pinnacle of a long and remarkable career. This record is infused with bluesy and folk influences, with energy and lacks the sameness of the first three albums. Every track on side A is an absolute favorite of mine and placed perfectly in the set list. Side B brings it home with pure artistry and some great ing pieces.
I got to see U2 in concert several times in the '80s and '90s and will never forget the pure spectacle of it all.
The recording is outstanding with a beautiful sound stage and plenty of dynamics. This particular pressing is excellent. No complaints at all. 5 stars, recommended. -

This is another album that is solid from start to finish. Every song is excellent. They really were an awesome band.

I just picked this up at a local record store. No poster or lyric sheet. However, it is translucent vinyl. Anyone else have this version with translucent vinyl?
