the quality of the recording specifically on the first press is simply amazing. you want to hold your palms near the speakers and collect bells in your palms

My pressing has a lot of high end, but my particular speakers have a lack of high end so it's kinda perfect for me. Crystal clear pressing right here. I bought it used for a few bucks and is in near mint condition. No distortion whats so ever and has a huge sound. The percussion on this record is like candy to my ears. Really phenomenal stuff.

This has to be one of the greatest records ever made by Santana. It shows perfectly the energy that the band had in the early 80's. Powerful vocals, touching solos, nice drumming and percussion. Just great.

I have one of the last variants and it sounds alright. A bit thin without any EQ or sound adjustments for my taste. Great record though.

Maybe it's just my copy, but this pressing has always seemed excessively sibilant and way too hot at the top end.

            But just a great album.

Santana's Zebop! is a hidden gem for irers of fine guitar work. Soulful, bluesy, and rockin', all at the same time.
