My copy has 1E in the deadwax on both sides and a strange ‘original’ u-shaped red CBS sticker on top of the Columbia center label.
Anyone who can help out?
The album is marvelous and sounds incredibly dynamic and detailed. -
SANTANA became somewhat famous for being the only unknown band to play at WOODSTOCK due to the fact that "SANTANA " (1969) was not released until after the concert . This album and the three (3) LP release of the WOODSTOCK soundtrack made SANTANA and other performers at the concert famous .

My version has matrix numbers ending in 1D and 1G
Tracks A2 credited to J Zack and A5 credited to M. Olatunji
Any idea which version this is? -
Edited 4 years agoI'm not sure if it's because my copy is a 1A in pristine condition, but this variation sounds AMAZING. Very clear with a nice full ambiance to its sound.
My copy matrix #'s:
XSM-139377-1A
XSM-139378-1A -
My copy features the 3rd variant stamped, not etched. Also, I have the smaller (1”) label indent (contracted Columbia pressing?) and the incorrect Evil Ways credit, but correct Jingo credit.

My Copy:
Matrix / Runout (Side A etched): XSM139377-1AD (instead of 1AG)
Matrix / Runout (Side B etched): XSM139378-1AE
is the copy i have a promo version too?? -
I have 2 with the catalog number CS 9781 which have the same labels and stamped runouts. But, the jackets are very different in size (One taller than the other). Unfortunately I can't make out any other etchings to pinpoint which pressing they are.

Anyone know which LP version has Jingo titled as "Jin-go-lo-ba" and correctly attributed to M. Olatunji? I can't seem to find it above. Catalog # CS9781
