Edited 5 years agoYou've said that this is a 1967 pressing but how could it be, if 1968 dates are etched into the runout areas as you show above? I have one of these Allentown pressings, with (AL) shown and it appears to be the one shown here although 8 - 5 - 68 is on side one and 8 - 4 - 8 on side 2. Also, Witmark is listed under Alabama Song on side one which should make it a first pressing, but again, why are there August 1968 dates in the runouts? My brown label Columbia/Pitman (CRP) pressing doesn't list Witmark, it has Weill-Brect - Harms Co. under Alabama Song. You list it as a 1967 pressing but I guess it's from somewhat later that year. Obviously not that much later. There's no gold record award symbol on the cover like so many 'repressings' have. I don't know who mastered it and there's no dates in the runout vinyl, like there are on my Allentown pressing, which is cut by Ray Hagerty, whose VERY tiny initals are scrawled into the runout vinyl.
