From 1972 to 2001, the American singer Michael Jackson released ten studio albums.
Bad is his seventh studio album.
Re-issues of Bad feature a number of changes when compared to the original 1987 release:
"Bad" – The original mix was replaced with the 7" Single Mix. The most notable difference is the lack of horns in all the choruses except for the last two. Horns are also missing from the second and third pre-choruses. The rhythm guitar during the choruses is also turned up along with the hi hats.
"The Way You Make Me Feel" – The full length remix used for the single with louder vocals and ad libs added to the end replaced the original album mix.
"I Just Can't Stop Loving You" omits Michael Jackson's spoken intro.
"Dirty Diana" is replaced with the single edit of the song.
"Smooth Criminal" went through two changes on the album. It was remixed to make the kick drum heavier and the bass synth fatter. The quick-sequenced synclavier behind the bass has been rendered mono as well. The first version of this mix left the breathing intact, but was later removed after some time.

i have a nm copy with vg+ to nm covers and inner sleeves and sheets bought at leeds 1988 Bad concert i thought about selling but history of it would get lost on here so i framed it with the tshirt -
Very, very good sounding pressing of this iconic album. The chrome tape is a nice bonus.

JAW-DROPPING soundstage!!!!! I have never *felt* sound like this from my system (Sumiko Starling, Pro Ject X8, Pro Ject TubeBox DS3 B w/lps, Sonic Frontiers Line 1, 2x Pro Ject AmpBox RS Mono w/lps, Zu DWX Supreme, SVS 3000micro). This record is creating 3D textures in the room I have only experienced from $100k+ system. I hate to sound like I’m exaggerating, but this is among the most amazing sounds I’ve ever heard!!! -

Not saying anything new here but pressing sounds top tier, and for the price it’s quite the deal. Amazing album -
Ok this pressing is really really good… but the original Japanese one is way better ! More separation, more dynamics, clearer, punchier! Both are great, though, but the Japanese “goes to 11” -

I just compared this Japanese version to a my original US Carrollton press. Although the difference is not huge, the Japanese sounds actually better !
This is so punchy, better separation and more pleasant.
Gave back my ORG US and stuck with the Japanese, just like I did with “thriller”, although with “Thriller”, the difference is ABSURD: the Japanese smashes the US by far.
