Edited 5 months agoRaising Hell, epic lp, got this when it dropped in 86 on wax , even went out of bounds from my high school to pick this up, was always on the lookout for an all green
cassette cover like the original lp , but never existed -
Sounds very very very good, top pressing thumbs up. This one is not tricky :)

I’ve now listened to this reissue several times all the way through, and I have to say it sounds great to my ears. I’d love to see MoFi tackle some more classic hip hop. I don’t think there is any issue with bass here. My sub pounds hard. I think they did a good job with the separation too. I can hear everything, but the balance is there.

ittedly my pressing has seen better days, so I’m not going to comment on the pressing quality (although you can still hear how BIG this album sounds under all the wear and tear). What makes this album so special is how tight and fresh the rhymes and delivery are after 40+ years of hip hop history. It’s joyous and playful and boisterous. These are three musicians and lyricists of the very highest caliber.
