This 1st pressing is excellent. Black Unity is an absolute gem for lovers of spiritual jazz. The double-bass attack of Stanley Clarke and Cecil McBee is choice, and the funk they lay down (awesome quote of The Creator Has a Masterplan on side B) makes the wild improvisation from Sanders, Hannibal Peterson and Carlos Garnett all the more accessible.

I'm looking for just the sleeve. No preference on issue as long as the sleeve looks good. Please message me if you have one.

Edited 10 years agoThis has all the great stuff of free improvisational jazz without beeing too far out and noisy. Very spiritual, driving, sometimes grooving and funky - outstanding record! Takes you to another place...
