This 1st pressing is excellent. Black Unity is an absolute gem for lovers of spiritual jazz.The double-bass attack of Stanley Clarke and Cecil McBee is choice, and the funk they lay down (awesome quote of The Creator Has a Masterplan on side B) makes the wild improvisation from Sanders, Hannibal Peterson and Carlos Garnett all the more accessible. -
I'm looking for just the sleeve. No preference on issue as long as the sleeve looks good. Please message me if you have one. -

Edited 10 years agoThis has all the great stuff of free improvisational jazz without beeing too far out and noisy. Very spiritual, driving, sometimes grooving and funky - outstanding record! Takes you to another place...
