Notes
180 gram heavyweight vinyl in gatefold sleeve. Issued with black die-cut antistatic protective inner.
[Liner notes inside gatefold sleeve:]
"Most of the music contained in this album originates from recordings I made in London in 1982, whilst working on the score for the film Blade Runner. Finding myself unable to release these recordings at the time, it is with great pleasure that I am able to do so now. Some of the pieces contained will be known to you from the Original Soundtrack of the film, whilst others are appearing here for the first time. Looking back at Ridley Scott's powerful and evocative pictures left me as stimulated as before, and made the recompiling of this music, today, an enjoyable experience."
- Vangelis. Athens, April 1994

god damn this has gotta be the quietest record in my whole collection. luckily no surface noise for now but i worry how this will sound after a few years of playtime. a shame it was such a hassle to get in the US, otherwise i would exchange it and try my luck at another pressing
-
Pressing is quiet, in a way that the music is quiet, had to turn up my volume up a lot.
Turning the volume up means that all that crackling is amplified too, great...
Speaking of crackling, it has quite a lot of surface noise, listening on headphones was not pleasant at all, to be honest.
So yeah, not too impressed by the quality, but at least the sound is good.
The synth made my furniture vibrate. Such great tracks from Vangelis.
Maybe a deep clean would help a bit with the surface noise... -
Después de cambiar 2 copias en las cuales saltaba la aguja en la última pista de la cara B, la que me he quedado tiene ruidos en la penúltima pista
-
Been offered this record for Christmas, and I was anxious about the sound quality of it. Fortunately, it seems that i'm a lucky one, and the record is very quiet with no surface noise. The dynamic could be upgraded, but it's widely enough for a good home listening. Didn't notice distortion on this one too. The other pressings are outrageously expensive. Maybe you should give a try !

A mass produced jeopardy. The one you should get is this one: https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/release/4611015-Vangelis-Blade-Runner Paid $20 for it back in the day.

If you LOVE Vangelis, then you will love this soundtrack.
I watched the original Blade Runner more than I watched the 1st STAR WARS MOVIE.
“ Memories Of Green” is a TEAR JERKER -
Great record, but my copy came with white marks in wax. Never seen something like that before. Doesn't affect sound thou
-
Fabuloso vinilo. No aprecié ni un defecto en mi copia. Una maravilla lo mires por donde lo mires. Sonido hermoso.
