The music itself is great, of course, but the record doesn't sound good to me. To my ears, it's very compressed.

I don’t think it’s that bad to be honest. It sounds clean, if a tad in the quieter side. Obviously this album deserves an epic gatefold treatment over two LPs. You can do a lot worse though in my view.

Edited 6 years agoOne of the worst records I've ever heard (as far as sound quality). Obviously an already loud / compressed CD (which is alright for a CD) pressed onto wax with no care or concern. I bought it directly from the Warner Bros website with the green Blood Mountain pressing which is an equal travesty.
