One can only state the specific order of pressings (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc) if worked in the factory and kept a record (pun included/ intended) of each.
,How can it be stated this is a 3rd press when the cover is not defined? For PPMe it is part of the history, as there are distinctive differences in card type and finish, the front's overall appearance in colour tones, and the the contracted printers.
For example, there are three varying positions of the photographer's name credit of Angus McBean in 1963. I only see two only documented (elsewhere).
