Love this album - Like his début with Riverside this is Thelonious' aptly named unique take on standards, and again whilst it's not necessarily representative of his main body of work it is one of my favourite Monk albums. Again it's a very strong trio, retaining Oscar Pettiford on bass, and replacing Kenny Clarke on drums with Art Blakey. There are no duds here, and worth getting just for the iconic cover.

Maybe not the best example of what thelonious does, but this album is astonishing has some of the best sounding jazz out there.
