"Wish I was an English muffin
'Bout to make the most out of a toaster"

Great lyrics, great harmonies, great arrangements, great production. Everything is great. Great album. Seriously. "Punky's Dilemma" and "At The Zoo" might be lightweight songs, but the lyrics are pure stoned genius. This is the original 1968 Pitman pressing, and it's impressive, with very deep bass, crystal clear separation, wide dynamic range and a huge, spacious soundstage, just gorgeous. My copy has patches of faint surface noise, barely noticeable, and plays cleanly all the way through.

    "Pigeons plot in secrecy
    And hamsters turn on frequently"

Not sure if anyone realizes how incredible S&G albums sound! This one jumps out of the speakers. Amazing production and sound. Among the best for any era. Got a NM copy for $1 at flea market.

Sounds Magnificent. Among The Best Albums Ever Made. Paul Simon's Songwriting Opus. I Can't Sing This Albums Praises Enough Its Just Exquisite And Has Such A Lovely Atmosphere And You Can Really Feel The Genuineness Of The Emotion Paul Simon Is Trying To Convey, Especially On The Songs On Side 1. The Harmonies And Instrumentation On This Album Are Beautiful And Really Suit The Arrangements. I Would Easily Say This Is The Greatest Example Of An Album Using Pre Released Singles To Compliment The Nature Of The New Songs As Side 2 Is Such A Perfect Counterpoint To Side 1 And Then The Cherry On Top Is That The New Songs On Side 2, Mrs. Robinson & Punky's Dilemma Are Probably Two Of The Very Best Songs Paul Simon Has Ever Written. Punky's Dilemma In Particular Is The Work Of Genius And Easily One Of The Most Critically Overlooked And Underrated Songs Of The 60's, The Vibe, The Wonderfully Poetic Lyric & Jazzy Guitar, Its Just Unspeakably Wonderful And Never Fails To Put A Smile On My Face. Bookends Is Where It's At, And In All Honesty A Much More Satisfying Album Experience Than Bridge Over Troubled Water. Even If That Album Has Higher Highs It Doesn't Have The Same Level Of Genuine Soulfulness From Start To Finish Or The Emotional Impact Of Bookends.

Does anyone have a sleeve that does not mention the poster? My matrix identifies match this copy but my sleeve says nothing about a poster. Thanks in advance.
