Edited 3 months agoBe careful with the disintegrating foam in the box which sticks to all surfaces like glue.

From my point of view, the first great (and absolutely necessary) and serious remastering work of the great(est) band Led Zeppelin. Totally according to Jimmi Page, the original masters of Zep's first albums sound disastrously; where many nuances of the art of strings are lost, and Plant's voice sounds totally distorted, not to mention those generated in Bonzo's punches.
This remastering work elevates musicality and exponentially corrects a large part of the failures of the Capture Source, and allows us to enjoy nuances that were lost and/or hidden in Zeppelin's first pressings. While it is true that there are some certain adverse effects typical of digitization, in my humble opinion it represents a great leap in quality.
Of course, it is a compilation box set of themes, where everyone can miss some great songs, as well as be surprised by the inclusion of others. But this is something absolutely subjective and typical of any compilation. Personally, I think it shows a very successful selection of songs spread over six vinyls that perfectly summarize the different stages and moments that the (brief) career of this incredible band went through. -
Edited 5 years agoThis vinyl box, pressing from , sounds truly fantastic. They did an excellent job with the mastering and it does easily beat the CD version (which also sounds great).
