Edited 3 months agoBetter bodied bass and mids and alot more 3D of stage than the newer Half Speed but its also rolled off up top and suffers baked in IGD. This is sadly a case of what could have been. If the treble was better present throughout and the pressing abit quieter then id be all over this, as it stands its a slightly sad pressing. Where the later Abbey Half Speed is bettered by a Youtube stream and considerably more so further by the outstanding 1996 Polydor CD this one does sound close to the 1996 CD bar the rolling off at the side ends and the tics that even my Degritter couldnt completely alleviate

All things being equal this particular copy is an enjoy listen... The who is a difficult group for one who chases an audiophile experience; at a certain point we have to say it is what it is. Additionally I question The necessity for certain albums to strive for high level audio quality: Does recorded garage band music have to be par with Masterpiece studio almost such as dark side of the moon Or perhaps aja, Or insert any other high quality recorded album... On the other hand there are songs on the album thare worthy of the highest Quality
Remix or remaster. -
Sounds really nice, thick vinyl. Cover is a scan of some random o.g. copy that was numbered so all of these are “numbered” the same.

Does anyone own this... Is this the remix from the 1990's I have no idea. But Sell Out is a remix and Live At Leeds was a remix and My Generation. I'm looking for all the Who LP's from the remixes because they SOUND SO MUCH BETTER ON VINYL. Who's Next was another one. But what about the others ?

Overall sound is very nice, very 3D-ish but in "However Much I Booze" my LP has some cracklings and loud pops in left channel (disc is clear with no scratches etc.) Need to replace it and check if on another copy issue stays the same or will be gone.
