As usual, the PR pressing falls short compared to basically any other pressing, an overabundance of noise on quieter, slower songs, and like the guy below said, it definitely sounds quite muddy in a lot of parts. Get the MO press instead.

Edited one year agoSolid pressing. The mix on this sounds muddy to me. Very little low end punch - more of a boom-box bass quality which isn't very pleasant. If looking for the ultimate Chic experiences it might be worth looking at later remasters if they exist. If it had the same mix as the later "Real People" it would be killer.

You just can't have too many Chic records. This one is from '78 and features their biggest hit, "Le Freak".
Performances are superb, with ultra funky bass by Bernard Edwards, and 'the hitmaker' Nile Rodgers on guitar. The production is excellent, with great mixing and mastering.
