Mine sounds pretty good. Nice, wide, clear, clean and dynamic. It's not very powerful, in the sense that I think it lacks a bit of presence, but I don't have other versions to be able to compare it.

I have to wonder how many people actually prefer the mono because they like it better and how many tout mono because they think they are supposed to

I'm really happy with my copy as I don't mind it being in stereo rather than mono. The best parts of this release are probably the beautiful raised lettering on the cover and the headshots and poster included. The perfect addition to my collection

The mixes sound fine on my set-up. Picked it up used, but while I might stream the 2018 remix, this is a fine physical copy to own since I'm not really into collectibles at the moment. Helter Skelter mix is superior to the new one.

Never heard a mono version, wich obviously might sound better. But this is far from bad sound. Good detail and warm bass with the advantage of not spending much money.

I captured this on my MOTU M4 and you can hear my pressing (this exact version) on burntable in hi-res audio (in 60 second clips) (on my system, at least, a Rega Planar 3 and Elys 2 cart) just enter the drop id in the search box 11292395 – would love to hear your thoughts

Mine sounds fine but I’ll be honest 9 times out of 10 I play the mono pressing.

Yes, good clear mix, but not quite as lively as one might like. I'm not experiencing any surface noise, and it has wonderful detail and bass. A great copy if you don't want to wear out your original or more regarded pressings with casual listening. But one should know not to expect great things out of digitally-sourced records.

Great album; however, reissue lacks body. Likely due to stereo mix

Really shit pressing. Lots of surface noise and it just doesn’t sound very great.
