this was a really nice sleeve released for scandanavia back in 1968, great shot from the 67/68 era, this is one of the more harder to find scandanvian 45s w/ pic sleeve to find in vg+ to m- condition..... my record is the same as the one photographed above....

Hi! A few corrections are needed here. 45s in the 60s from the Polygram group (Polydor, Pye, Fontana, Philips, CBS and others) in many cases were pressed in Norway and exported to the other Scandinavian countries, who made their own sleeves. Finland very rarely made picture sleeves in this period. So the statement that all Scandinavian Who 45s were pressed in or UK is wrong. This particular Who 45 is pressed in Norway, NOT in . And in this case, Sweden and Denmark did not print their own sleeves, but imported both the vinyl and the sleeve from Norway.
And the reason why this particular Who 45 is so sought after by collectors (and expensive), is that the B-side is not the ordinary Who recording, but a Pete Townsend demo that is not available elsewhere.

this is a beautiful scandanavian sleeve that as you can see has a fantastic 1966/67 mod shot on the sleeve, i have had this 45 for some time now, when i see it pop up some say SWEDEN and others say NORWAY it is hard to tell for sure as the record was printed in and the sleeve was printed either in sweden or norway for those markets, the records on all 60s scandanavian who 45s where printed in or the uk and the sleeves where printed in sweden, norway or denmark, and released in those countries to those small markets way back in the 60s, THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ANY UNIQUE SLEEVES FOR FINLAND!!!! swedish and danish pressings typically went to finland in those days, anyway this 45 does not pop up to often and is ONE of the nicest scandanavian sleeves out there from the 60s....you can look up all the catlog numbers regarding these 45s in a book that came out back in 1996 called THE WHO IN SWEDEN, it is a swedish pressed book with photos of the band from there tours there in 1966 and 1967, it also comes with a free cd of who covers by swedish bands doing who covers back in the 60s like the mascots and other 60s swedish beat groups, this book is very informative, there is another called THE WHO IN DENMARK that is similar BUT the sweden one has the most info regarding who 45s that where released there back in the 60s.....look for it on amazon or e bay as the book is oop
