Can someone please thoroughly explain the differences between acid house, techno house, and deep house? I don't quite understand the distinction...

Edited 12 years agoA unique take on acid - forget the psychedelic, dark, and chaotic 303 sounds you already know. Now it takes on a new meaning as a sad, melancholic instrument, almost like a piano. The album moves at a snail's pace, perhaps never exceeding 120 BPM, which can be a bit testing of one's attention. While I appreciate its one-of-a-kind approach, it also clocks in at a very short length and this is exacerbated by the homogeneity of the sounds. I would have liked to see "On Acid" expand its sonic palette. Could be improved.

Sheer brilliance in every track on this release. Serious mellow, minimal acid house and tech. Harbinger and Jaded are my favorites tracks. -
Stunning output from the creator of the Plangent series. Every track on here is excellent. The D1 track "Jaded" will murder the dancefloor. Essential slab.
