Edited 6 days agoLove this 1st monarch pressing and the best way to hear the mono mix! I have a 1st stereo monarch as well but enjoy the punch and full sound of this mono. I don't hear the distortion in the mix others mention. Break on Thru, Soul Kitchen & Twentieth Century Fox kick ass on this pressing!

Edited 14 days agoMy beater copy has intentional pen scratches all up and down Side 1. With zero expectations, I was amazed that it played perfectly with ample punch and presence. I attribute that to (1) my A-T 33 mono cart and (2) the expert cut by Hagerty of this 1st mono Monarch. Long live the Lizard King!

Edited 8 months agoDoes this Monarch mono pressing ("Oher Side") have the non-censored version of The End (with the F-word)? I found very different info via google.

How can I tell if I have the correct sleeve for this release instead of a different mono re-release?
-
Just a heads up, if you're buying this pressing, message the seller and make sure it has the "Break On Through (To The Oher Side)" error on the labels, because similar mono Monarch pressings with Break On Through corrected exist. Also, do make sure that it's in an actual mono sleeve and not a stickered stereo sleeve, since those do also exist.

Does anybody know of a stereo LP that would be uncensored ?
I grew up with the 1997 CD and my LP copy is censored on Break On Through (To The Other Side) -

Edited 2 years agoThe original monarch mono pressing of this album sounds quite great, one of the better ways to hear the mono mix (except Light My Fire, which suffers from cutting issues and sounds awful) besides breaking the piggy bank for that ERC reissue.

Looking for just a mono cover in VG to VG+ condition. I bought this mono pressing with a stereo cover.
