Edited 3 months agoGot this old beat up copy for cheap, I was intrigued by the red label and wanted to hear it. Only have the new 2014 remaster vinyl and the 80’s Barry Diament mastered CD to compare to. I would call this one average sounding, more dull and low volume than I was expecting. Obviously a post-RL master because bass was pretty normal if a bit muted. I’ve read that some Zeppelin red label Canadian pressings are great, but nothing special here for Led Zep II. My hunt continues for an RL.

Edited 2 years agoIMO these first pressing red label Atlantic LPs from Canada are an amazing way to hear the early LZ albums. At least for LZ II and LZ III, they are among the best pressings in the world.
