Did anyone in the UK find a decent copy? I tried 2 and both had pressing issues (too many clicks/pops and a small scratch that also affected play).

Edited 7 months agoGlad I got a hold of this! For me it is as if I've heard the album for the first time. Every track had more impact and definition. Now it doesn't sound completely different, but just clean and a bit more modern. There is more air and the absolute black background of the super vinyl really makes the music shine. The low-end sounds smooth and deep, but not boomy. The record has slight tape-hiss but its barely noticeable.
Music: 8/10
Pressing: 10/10
Sleeve: 8/10 -
A beautiful release, I've never heard a better Only Living Boy in NY, wow! I guess it is quite expensive, but considerably less pricey than the One Step ever was, so in that regard it seems like decent value at least... Overall grade: 9 / 10

Going to add to the positive comments here. Possible I had never heard a proper copy of this album, but wow ! Really dynamic and punchy . Dead quiet vinyl . Absolutely recommended

Not to get too sentimental about a piece of plastic but this is the kind of record I want to down to my kids. So many classic tracks and boy does this record sound impeccable. Mofi, I know you’ve had your scandals, but I need you to know that I love you. You make life worth living.

Was everything I was hoping for from this recording. Outstanding
I clean all new records, and this one really needed it, but after the cleaning outstanding sound.
Love it… -
Mofi should avoid the "directly from master tapes" lettering as it is widely well known that original master has been lost since a long time ago and not found yet
-
The RKS mastered box set (numbered and non-numbered) from a while ago saw excellent versions of these albums. Would love for someone who has them to compare.
