Flat pressing with minimal / tolerable surface noise. Can’t compare to other pressings, and not expecting an “audiophile” experience but this sounds great and dynamic to my ears. The gatefold art is incredible… it’s matte and beautifully textured like a canvas, making the gold foil details really pop. One of the coolest outer sleeves in my collection for sure.

I’m no expert and my setup is modest at best but of all the vinyl I have that I’ve listened to, this was surprisingly pleasant in sound, the track listing, although altered from when I first heard it in ‘04 didn’t make me cry as it has so many…

Obviously this album is incredible, and Mastodon is incredible. Having said that, I bought a signed copy at the Ashes of Leviathan tour last night. Didn’t know that the vinyl swapped tracks around so had a ‘wtf’ moment while spinning it and doing chores. Others may disagree, but the mastering for this vinyl version is wonky. Treble feels disconnected from the mix. Blood and Thunder is the worst offender. I don’t have other copies of Leviathan to compare to, but have original pressings of Remission and Blood Mountain and they don’t have this issue. Overall still happy I have it but maybe they’re overdue for a 2xLP version

Beautiful coloured LP housed in a gatefold tip on sleeve with gold foiling on the front. Gold Pantone on the printed insert. No expense was spared on this release. Sounds great also. The RRP is also criminally cheap. For sale in the UK for around £20-£25. You would see other artists claiming this spec as a “deluxe edition”, which it would be.

No hype sticker on mine :( Really pretty pressing though. Just wish they’d finally given us a proper 2XLP with the correct track order for this one
