For any audiophiles - I compared this version to a 1985 mint pitman pressing and the original 1985 version is more dynamic with better depth. If you can’t get your hands on one of them this still is a very good pressing.

No negatives for me, barring the plain paper inner which by plain paper inners is a decent one. Once clean this presents flat, dead centered and super quiet throughout. The audio is very good, no nasties. I still feel double 45rpm for Sade reissues would have given better bass and expanse but this one along with Love Deluxe have worked out well on my system for sound and playback

Edited 8 months agoI don't know about the negative comments here, but I think this is fantastic audio. The CD seemed a tad muddy to me. This new release fixes that and man can you hear the detail on this. I don't know about the TY credit on this page but the disc says MILES on it. That is the brilliant Miles Showell at Abby Road studio. He cut this at half speed and the higher frequencies are so clear you can taste them. Maybe that's why some say its bright sounding. No, it's just you're hearing what is on the tape for the first time.
On a side note, this is the flattest most quiet vinyl I have ever seen. Kudos to the pressing plant, and thank you!!!
Enjoy. -
Beautiful pressing, sounds much clearer than my old vinyl and CD, very happy with this reissue. Lovely thick glossy gatefold sleeve too.

Dead quiet and great dynamics. Sounds great on my tube system and much better than streamed or CD. Thanks for the new release.

How nice that the original record is so much better. So much better! Almost outrageous. (Verified Purchase)

Comme la réédition de Diamond Life, ne vaut pas le coup : semble compressé, plat, sans vie par rapport à l'original. Ce n'est pas catastrophique en ant de l'un à l'autre, mais il manque toujours quelque chose par rapport à l'original

Edited 11 months agoThis is horribly bright. CD actually sounds better! Sade’s voice is also set back compared to the CD.
