The sound of the vinyl is nice, though our came with a big patch on a A side, smooth operator, it is not possible to listen to the first part of the song. 😭

This pressing is superb! Fantastic dynamic range. The bass is fat and punchy. The mids and highs are detailed and clean. Absolutely no surface noise. Overall, the sound is warm, rich, open, and lush. The quality of the pressing is similar to Love Deluxe and Promise. I am very impressed with the half-speed mastering process. Highly recommended.

Sounds pretty decent to me but i can see why theres some negative comments. While the bass and mids are good the treble and presence region - while clean and undistorted - runs dry. It leaves the recording sounding a little lacking in sweetness and air and colour. However its FAR from the disaster that some speak of. This clean dry mastering would probably work better if my AT cart wasnt so surgically clean and neutral in itself. My old Nag MP50 or Shure M75 gets abit more juice in the sound but they are olde and worn and just dont manage inner grooves anywhere close to AT microlines. For £22 im happy enough and the Optimal pressing is dead flat and dead silent after ultrasonic cleaning.

Worst sounding Diamond Life.
Half speed mastering = half the music !
If it had a Spars code it would be DUD
:D -
Not good (listening on a 50k system).
It might not be too hard to find an og that sounds more natural than this pressing.

I like this pressing. The sound is clean and dynamic, it’s an absorbing listen. If every repress was only as good…

Absolutely perfect for me, sound, dynamics, not a single noise !!! If all the LPs could be like that !!!!
