Reviews
-
Not sure what to make out of this pressing. Clicks and pops throughout on some sides more than others and some none at all. The soundtrack itself is decent, but I find it's better suited with the show on screen, as opposed to being standalone.
-
Both are flat, Almost no annoying background noise. Very dynamic. Mastering at least "good". Great movie music.
-
After reading a few reviews, I will need to test out my copy again but was pretty sure I had no issues. Lakeshore really screws up a few of their releases. Not the first or last, sad
-
Edited 4 months agoMust have gotten lucky with my copy, its dead quiet after a quick brushing. No warping on the records.
Edit: Side D has some distortion on the last few tracks, "Do The Right Thing" sounds particularly bad. -
Edited 7 months agoUnfortunately, even after cleaning the vinyls, there are a lot of surface noises, especially with the the yellow one.
-
Both records of my copy are extremely clicky through all sides, even after cleaning. Yellow record is warped. But it's exactly what to expect from Memphis Record Pressing (not the first time), hence no surprise to me. They never get things right.

Edited 11 months agoI must of lucked out with my copy. Relatively quiet (handful of pops/ ticks) even through quiet ages of music or between tracks. I also find the music to be quite dynamic which is a relief because the digital (streaming) version was very underwhelming. Also, both LPs are flat.
Happy to have this. -
Edited 11 months agoI would say the surface noise here is quite bad. It was nonstop for me. Bonfire. I will try cleaning it but if it doesn't fix then it's going back. Shame. Will update.
Not sure I'd agree that surface noise is fine on a brand new sealed record.
Side d was slightly better but still noisy. -
Edited 11 months agoCan confirm there’s some surface noise but it’s fine. No warping with my copy but ofc one of the printed inner sleeves came damaged from the vinyl’s edge.
Soundtrack itself is very nice to listen. Very atmospheric.
My main complain is the lack of "gimmick" bc a release like this literally screams for a special something aside from the (gorgeous) vinyl color. But Idk maybe that’s just me.
Edit: "…but it’s fine." meaning it wasn’t audible anymore after a good clean (of my copy).
Also be careful when you take out the records from the picture sleeves for the first time! I’ve never experienced an electrostatic charge like that before. I almost ripped the sleeve apart. -
