My 2¢...Great music, always fun to hear bands perform live in the studio (supposedly) with no overdubs (see also The Rolling Stones Stripped). The songs are the same, with fascinating small differences here and there. And because it's Paul McCartney & Wings, that just raises the interest level to a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. (!).
However, the sound quality is almost uniformly disappointing. I was gonna say 'terrible' but that would not have been accurate. But the sound is muddy, no real high frequencies, and just generally very disappointing, considering most of it was recorded in ** ABBEY ROAD** ! It sure doesn't sound like it. 😖 -
it's a very good album! I love it! the 7" disc is wonderful, but couldn't they at least have made it a gatefold?
