Fun fact... they must have used a backwards sample of PiL's Fodderstompf for the rhythm thing which fades in and out throughout the whole EP. I once discovered this by playing the record backwards and noticing the stunning similarity to Fodderstompf. Years later
I actually found there is a PiL 12" version from which it must have been taken. Very interesting, very weird...

CHROME goes art. I like this 12" very much. Very experimental. The excessive use of drum backward loops creates a strange feeling of machine-music. And you can play these parts backwards to get a groovy driving bass with all the rest backwards. That works, too. The parts are just cut together, sometimes blended. Some hard noises are mixed in between. Real 1979 feeling, like This Heat or Tuxedomoon.
Funny I heard this for years at 33 rpm, sounded so dark ;-)
