This Monarch sounds fantastic! Absolutely love the look of the metallic foil cover too. 😎
I got an absolutely stellar deal on a damn near NM copy on ebay recently and couldn't be happier.. After seeing all the recommendations for this exact pressing, I just had to get me one, as it's one of my favorite classic albums. -
Edited one year agoarguably the definitive edition of this album to own, the sound is absolutely perfect. Super loud and dynamic, and it’s right in your face the entire time

Edited one year agoBest sounding version of Wheels Of Fire I have ever heard!
Mr. Steve Hoffman have said: GEARS and FIRE were recorded at Atlantic and the masters never left Atlantic Studios (USA). All foreign versions were cut from copy tapes of dubious quality. -
-
Best sounding version of this classic I've heard. Much better than the Columbia pressed Atco and the UK Polydor I had.
-
On this and several other LP "changes" : Does "Monarch" belong on title line? I think not, it only needs to be listed in notes.
