Sounds great to my ears, probably wouldn’t compare to an original but for what it’s worth this will suffice. Could’ve used a bit more dynamics and separation but it’s clear and punchy and thick sounding. Mine doesn’t have any skipping thankfully.

Mine has the I’m Broken skip as well, and it felt like it skips a pretty decent chunk of the intro. Unfortunate oversight there. However, I think this press sounds pretty great. Had to crank the gain and the bass a bit to get it where I wanted it, but overall it’s an enjoyable listen. I wouldn’t recommend it because of the skip, but it definitely doesn’t sound bad.

I’m reading a lot of hate for this pressing here. I feel it’s unjust. I haven’t had the skipping problem that others have and this pressing is dead quiet. I will agree that the volume is a bit low, but cranking it up did not create any distortion.
I was debating on this pressing vs. the newer colored vinyl press. I went with this one (due to availability and the fact that it is spread over two LPs). I think it sounds great.
It loses one star for not going with the alternate cover art. -

Excellent pressing. Powerful, dynamic and detailed on clean silent vinyl. Sounds way better than the original 1994 cd. Mine does not skip anything and is not distorted. This is the ultimate version of this monster of an album. Highly recommended.

Edited 7 years agoPretty distorted press. I'm Broken skips on intro. Awful. Hope they aren't all that way.
