Edited 3 months agoThere are some beautiful moments on this record and some clever production, heightening the pop-soul vibe. I have no issues with noise. The low frequencies are indeed louder than normal, as others pointed out, but not bothersome at all to my ears. The packaging is also quite nice. Found on sale for $13.50!

Picked this up because I like Leon Bridges music and am impressed with his evolution. Read much about this being a poor pressing. As a result I was hesitant to purchase. However, I find the record to be very quiet. I’d say it is as good as most mass produced records. If MOFI or Analogue Productions got ahold of this it would be amazing! Hopefully they’ll grab Comin’ Home. Now that’s a poorly pressed record.

Horrible pressing. Surface noise is absolutely ridiculous. Even after 3 wet cleanings. Subpar mastering. Low end is waaaaay overdone. And I’m a basshead! Here it just gets in the way of the music. I turned down the bass only to find the mids and highs are low in volume. Nice presentation of cover, inner sleeve, and booklet. Great music but I’ll keep listening to the digital version.

More surface noise than I want from a new release. I will have to give it a deep clean and hopefully that helps a little. The mastering is pretty good for the most part. The music is just okay to me - I would probably dismiss this album if it wasn't Leon. I picked this up on vinyl because I knew the CD would be so loud and compressed but I wish the pressing was little more quiet out of the sleeve.

Any on quality of this pressing? Where it’s pressed, and who did the mastering? I like the album but the Coming Home LP I bought is literally the worst sounding record in my entire collection

Nice sounding vinyl and find the lack of color variants of this release is a bit refreshing. A bit heavy on bass but needed to turn my rig up a bit as the LP was on the quiet side.
