Great album. You have a bit of country, a bit of blues, and a bit of rock'n'roll. Michael Fennelly has a kind of Robert Plant type voice without the shrieking. We have Clydie King and the Blackberries doing some back-up vocals, Byron Berline with a little of that back-alley fiddle on "One More Time" and David Grissman does mandolin on the "Paper to Write On" honkytonk number... is this a nod to Gram Parsons? Sure sounds like it.!! I may be a bit biased here because this album is a relic from my misspent youth, but I reckon some of you older guys (jaded ex-hippies like me) might dig on this.
