Why go through the trouble of getting master tapes if the result will be this thin? "...optimal speaker smashing dynamic range." Not with this pressing.
Vinyl is flat and quiet. -
comparto todo lo dicho, edición sin bajos profundos, los bombos no se escucha, le resta poder, bastante deficiente el sonido. No se si habrá una edición con mejor sonido, desconozco.
-
Vinyl's pressed well enough, but yeah, mastering sounds like ass. No bass, and just shrill. And no, turning up the bass on my EQ doesn't really help.
-
just got this lp and agree fully with comments about thin sound/lack of bass, which for a Motörhead pressing makes no sense. adjusting the bass knob obviously helps so its not a total waste. but does anyone have info on a superior pressing of this record they can on?

Edited 3 years agoWell dangit, I bought it without consulting these reviews first. My bass is missing too. Needing to bump it 5dB to hear Lemmy. Disappointed.
Otherwise, a hard rockin'' mix, clean remaster. If you love guitar, this record is 75% guitar.

Well, me I didnt lesson to the disc now, we all know the lack of bass. Me what I want to say is the vinyl, that I buy new, when I open it and see the disc on the light. They were a scratch that on the Side 2 Song 1 and at the start of song 2 and they are a lot of hairlines, that appear, cause by the inner sleeve ( it happen the same on the Pink floyd reissue with a cardborad inner). For a mark like this I will put it to a Vg disc. So, bad quality for vinyl + bad mastering+ lack of bass that Lemmy wouldn't be proud = Don't buy that record.
-
I have to turn up the bass knob to max to hear the record properly.
Lemmy would not approve this reissue. -
Agree with previous reviewers, the bass is thin. But aside from that it sounds great. Ok so until there's a perfect pressing we'll all just gave to adjust the tone controls. equalizers?
